In the beginning there was a black lion
The cat was doing what cats do. Then, after one ordinary routine, he becomes host to a parasite: a cosmic, ink-black thing. But this is no ordinary lion. This is god for some, universe for others. There are worlds inside him.
In Dublin, a man finds a portal in his attic. He and the lion are quantum-linked: every convulsion inside the lion's universe surfaces in the man's life as another financial scam. As one world falls apart, the other gets billed for it.
Will the lion's pain end? Will the Dublin man get financial relief? One question is cosmic. The other is not. They share an answer.
